Who regulates betting in Brazil
Brazil is now a fully regulated market. Law 14.790/2023 created the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting inside the Ministry of Finance, which became operational on 1 January 2025 and had authorised 188 operators as of August 2026. Federal licences run five years. This matters more here than anywhere else on this site: an operator absent from the SPA list is operating illegally in Brazil, whatever it says about itself. Check the official list before you deposit.
