⚠️ Online betting is illegal in Bangladesh
Under the Gambling Prevention Act 2026. The law came into force on 1 July 2026, replacing the Public Gambling Act of 1867. It creates specific offences for online gambling, sports betting, virtual casinos, VPN-enabled gambling and cryptocurrency-funded play.
Penalties: Up to 5 years' imprisonment or a Tk 1 crore fine for online gambling; up to 7 years for operating a platform.
